One of the most amazing concepts to get our heads around is the fact that in the future we will be printing our own 3D products. The RIAA is going to freak once we start printing and trading records. Here’s one turntable even more classic than the Technics SL-1200. Dieter Rams was the lead designer for the German company Braun. Some say Apple’s Johnathan Ives is heavily inspired by Rams. Check out this Gizmodo article: 1960s Braun Products Hold the Secrets to Apple’s Future link. According to Wikipedia the SK5 was nicknamed Snow White’s Coffin. That’s enough right there to make me want one in my living room. The photos you see here are from an SK5 on ebay right now with a Buy It Now price of $900.
