Multimedia designer Franz Keller has created an iPad app called Radarhead. It’s a rotary sequencer in which you can control the speed, direction and center point. The sounds are represented by colorful 8-bit alien images. It’s fun and well worth the .99 price: click here The video of the band using it below inspires me. This app reminds me of those 80′s puffy stickers mixed with a bit of synthpunk attitude.

Microsoft Songsmith is a PC only application that you sing into and then the software creates a full song behind your voice. It uses some neat algorthms, technology from PGMusic’s Band in a Box and sounds from Garritan. You most likely already know about Songsmith but I found a really interesting website/mashup you may find new. It’s call Robert Songmith and basically it’s a good looking website that is Songsmith + The Cure + You. I spend a nice while listen to other people’s creations last night. James over at Synthtopia titled this video, “If You’re Doing A Live Show, Make Sure You Invite This Guy.”. I agree 100%. This reminds me of the movie Defending Your Life. The basic moral of the movie is that you only live once so stop worrying what other people think of you. I’m such a tightly wound person I think of think of this stuff a lot. I’m always trying to remember that most people are just concerned with their own lives, no one really cares what the hell you are doing so enjoy your time without shame.

In order to stay skinny and save money my wife and I go to Trader Joe’s every weekend and get a full weeks worth of food. If good stuff is in the house I loose the urge to eat out. Sometimes I love to go food shopping other times it’s pure routine. It’s no wonder under the bright fluorescent light people’s minds start humming tunes. Here’s two good ones!
