Eventide Stompboxes

Everyone raves about the Eventide Stompboxes so here’s some videos to show you why. Basically they sound good, crazy and are dead simple to use. What more do you want? Yes I’m on a hardware kick lately! So if you had to get just one “E box” which one would it be? Space, TimeFactor, ModFactor or PitchFactor?

“Founded in 1971, Eventide is a leading developer and manufacturer of digital audio processing products for recording, broadcast, and live performance, as well as, digital communications products for public safety institutions. Eventide Space

Eventide Space – Sneak Peak from Richard Devine on Vimeo.

A few months ago when Eventide announced their new hardware box called Space the music tech crowd was buzzing. I admit I didn’t totally get why. Like many producers I know I’ve returned to using a lot of hardware but reverbs wasn’t a box I needed to go back to. Yesterday I saw the above demo video from Richard Devine on my Facebook feed (thanks Daniel Meyer) and this morning again on Synthtopia. Needless to say I have to have one of these. It’s the sound. I wonder if these will become as common as the Boss-SE50 did? Probably not and that’s a good thing for those who are in the know. The Space is $500.

“Never before has there been a more dazzling collection of reverb algorithms combined with delays, pitch shifting, tremolo, modulation, and spatial effects in such a compact and affordable package.” – eventide.com

Maybe this is an Eventide H8000 Review Video

Yeah so I’m uh. I mean. Well… The Eventide H8000 is a hardware multieffect unit that goes for about $5500. Here’s a video that has something to do with the unit. At around 2:43 in the video a giant Conion boombox appears. I own the same one (the boombox not H8000). Hah!

“Featuring nearly sixteen hundred post-production and music effects preset-algorithms, never before has Eventide unleashed so much power for your creative endeavors.” – eventide.com
