The cities may be industrialised, crumbling, and cold, but I met some of the warmest, friendliest, most hospitable people I have ever met over there. The energy and conviction people have for music is really quite humbling.

While it’d be wrong to try and dispel all preconceptions of Russia (some of them are unfortunately true and far more of a reality to those who live there) this video certainly shows the side of Russia I remember. Cold, hard, barren landscapes. Great parties to amazingly enthusiastic crowds, and kind, welcoming, friendly, awesome people.

If you ever get the chance to go over there, take it! Besides, even Novosibirsk isn’t covered with snow all year round. Summer over there is actually really nice!
