Halloween night sometime in the 1980s (i’m going to guess 1987). I saw Skinny Puppy live after the East Village parade. The show was at Irving Plaza for the VIVISect tour. They dissected a fake puppy and there was blood all over the room (including my jacket). There was a cheesy opening band that no one ever heard of. Years later I looked at the ticket stub: Nine Inch Nails.

The only thing I’ve adored from Trent is his production work, specifically on the vocals for Pantera’s 1996 overlooked album “The Great Southern Trendkill”.
