So with these other boards… can the board be used without the iPad? It may come down to price points too… I have a laptop I can use already. With these new boards It sounds like I would have to buy another iPad (if I wanted to continue to use my iPad for what I am using it for during performances).

Any word on price of these new boards?

Not realy. The Studiolive needs to be plug to a computer to be controled by an Ipad. Mackie, Behringer and Line6 allow to control without computer. For me, it’s a big difference.

And what about the PreSonous StudioLive? Not quite like these but the board and computer can be controlled by iPad from anywhere in the room.
