“SoundCloud was originally started in Stockholm, Sweden, but was established in Berlin, Germany in August, 2007 by sound designer Alex Ljung and artist Eric Wahlforss. It had the intention of allowing musicians to share recordings with each other, but later transformed into a full publishing tool which also allowed musicians to distribute their music tracks.” – Wikipedia

  1. i’ve joined a bunch of groups, but i never see any activity on my dashboard on the home screen. they seem to be the best feature of the site, but buried away.

  2. Good idea and yes, we have create recently a group for some of our users who use Usine to create and want to share their work :
same idea, no special style, just musicians of all influences around the software.

  3. I love the Groups functionality of SoundCloud. I just wish I could get to them/moderate them from my mobile devices. (iPhone/iPad) I moderate a fairly popular group called Soundscapes that always has about 300 tracks queued up for me to moderate…
