Color Blind

Fourteen days ago the ESCO (Energy Services Company) which I am a partner of received some news. We were told we had to produce twice as much kWh Savings as the previous month in half the time. Thirteen of the fourteen days are over and I am pleased to report we pulled it off. These have been long days. Out of the house by 7:00AM. Home around 8:00PM and then a lot of computer work before sleep. The door to my studio has been closed for two weeks. I always crave making music. After a while not producing it feels like I’ve stopped seeing colors. I need to push a key and turn a button. I want to hear a deep Moog bass layered with bright Eventide reverb. I know most of my music making friends feel the same way. Tomorrow I have my meeting and we can show our worked hard for results. This coming weekend the sound and colors will be screaming!

“Color blindness or color vision deficiency is the inability or decreased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under lighting conditions when color vision is not normally impaired. “Color blind” is a term of art; there is no actual blindness but there is a fault in the development of either or both sets of retinal cones that perceive color in light and transmit that information to the optic nerve.” – Wikipedia
