		<description>In the past, there was kind of an excuse not to back up... Burning your HD contents on CD (when that technology became available) was time consuming, and an additional HD (especially an external drive) was expensive. Plus, back in the day you didn&#039;t have that much important stuff on the machine.

Nowadays, you can buy a USB external HD for $99 at tigerdirect or whatever discount computer place you use, plug it in, and then select the automated backup utility in Windows or OSX or whatever you use.</description>
