i use this quite exessive. the only downside is, that it's not possible to regroup all the group-track into one single channel – like with the drumracks.

hey, i gotta question... HELP
i see that grouping channel is not much different procedure than when you use sidechain comp and the same problem occurs in both actions...

The thing is that when I try to rout audio from one channel to group channel (in grouping) or kick channel to bass (in sidechain) in the list of all channels, there aren't ALL CHANNELS!!! in fact, there aren't most of channels so i guess i must've overlooked something coz it's not abletons fault coz i came across the same problem in several versions of LIVE... if you have any idea of the solution I'd appreciate it... and oh yeah, killer site, nice work:)

The thing that super sux with Live using this technique is solo'ing a channel that's in a group. You can't just solo the snare, for example. You must solo the drum group and the snare. Frustrating.

Hi Gary... yeah I've downloaded all the free drum machine packs from Goldbaby. Is that you by the way? Good stuff!

I agree Jimmy... Ableton need to add a select more than one fader at a time feature. That's high on my want list.

Yeah this looks useful. I will have to give this try. I know I suck, but I barely use the session view at all. Guess I probably should.

Yeah man, just found your website and I love it.
I havent started using groups cause I havent really started doing any real mixing yet. But I can see where it would be beneficial to the drum kit if I could add effects to each individual segment of the drum track. Cool stuff man.

I read once that Fatboy Slim added a compressor to every part of the drumkit and then to the the whole "group" after that.
