Hi Melissa,

When I say it's the most important issue we face I am thinking of a worst case scenario. The polar ice caps melt, New York goes underwater, world wide famines, and another ice age. True we don't need electricity to survive but if global warming continues and reaches an extreme billions of people will suffer greatly.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac is a great music pick. Who knew they recorded a song about that! Elephants are great we should leave them alone.

Hi Molli,

Your post on www.musicnewsculture.com is great. I look forward to part two. I fly often to gigs from Berlin around Europe. I wonder what the all new low cost airlines are having on the environment. I assume taking trains would be better? Thats something I will look into. Normally if an gig is 4 hours or less away by train I'll take the option. Maybe I should up that to 5 or 6 hours.

I don't know if this is really the most important issue we face. The earth will go on whether we use up all the electricity or not, and we too can survive without it, just like we did for many centuries before it was discovered.

I love Electricity by OMD. One of my favorite 80's bands! Another one that comes to mind is Tusk, by Fleetwood Mac, which was written to help save Elephants. They are part of the environment too!

Great blog, by the way. It really shows off your creativity.
